Grammar lesson- “wearing” is a gerund (verb acting as a noun and ending in “ing”) and so you say “my wearing a hairnet” as you are really saying “This is a picture of my wearing a hairnet”.
As in “This is a story of my going to London.” When a gerund is proceeded by a noun is requires a possessive pronoun- my, our,his her….
